Mindy misses Mork's wonderful original innocence so keenly that Mork lets her enter his mind to confer with leader Orson on Ork. Orson sends his planet's most exalted elder to attempt to retrain Mork in Orkan ways. Mork is desperate to regain Orkan qualities prior to the elder's arrival. Pupils at the day care center where Mork is a play leader advise him to poll his friends on how he used to be. Then the ancient elder, who looks like a ten-year-old because the aging process is reversed on Ork, arrives and converts Mork's attic into an Orkan environment, complete with Mork's strange furry pet naugachomp, Bebo. When all else fails, the elder proposes employing his powers as an eggs-orcist.

  • Fred

Mindy, I wouldn't worry about this fella. You know, I used to think you were strange and peculiar, but now, gosh, you're just like one of us!

  • Mindy

Yeah, but daddy, he never does Orkan things any more. Like he completely stopped drinking with his finger.

  • Mork

That's an old planet custom, hon, and I've also stopped spitting with my toe. Besides, who wants a lot of drool in your socks?

  • Mork

Wait! There is one person. There's someone who could help us. Stick your finger in my ear.

  • Mindy

    I beg your pardon?

  • Mork

No, no, Mind! We're going to talk to Orson, you and I both, but first I've got to plug you into my mind, so stick your finger in my ear -- hold my nose.

  • Mindy

You mean I'm gonna go with you into your head? In your mind? Can, can I do that?

  • Mork

    There's plenty of room!

  • Mindy

    Oh, this is very strange.

  • Mork

Well, you should've seen the old way!

  • Mork

All right, little neighbors, let's gather 'round the neighborhood. Come on, here we go... let's sit around Mr. Table. We have another story today; I'm sorry about yesterday's story. That was one by Stephen King and naptime didn't go very well, did it?

  • Mork

Well, it's kinda like... you know when you put pudding in the icebox for a long time and it gets real hairy? Forget that one, and don't tell mommy and daddy I told you that one either! Well, I... I used to be one way, and now I'm something different, kinda like when root beer goes flat, you know? I -- I wanna find out -- how I was.

  • Elliot

    I don't understand.

  • Stephanie

Me either. When do we eat?

  • Mork

Not now, Stephanie, Uncle Morrie has the floor right now.

  • Stephanie

    Ahhhh, stuff it!

  • Mork

We'll have to pluck a lot of the petals off your courtesy flower!

  • Mork

Oh, Bebo! I missed ya, boy!

  • Mindy

    It's a boy?

  • Mork

Oh, I don't know, I've never had the nerve to turn him over.
