The Throck on the rocks

Postby Soozcat on Mon Nov 02, 2009 7:57 pm

I know that a few of you have visited 142 Throckmorton a few times... for some reason... so when I came across this article yesterday I thought this might be a good forum to pass it on. It seems that the Throck is struggling financially and may have to close.

Wow, I didn't know!
I'll definitely post something about it on the site.

having been there 5 times this past summer, I found the place to be the perfect theater to see Robin live. It's small, intimate, beautifully decorated and the people are extremely nice! It's a very nice part of that town and as the article says, other stores and restaurants might not survive when Throckmorton closes.

They have a setup to donate any amount you feel comfortable sending their way through PayPal.

Possibly, they could have a fund raiser to save the Throck. Maybe Robin could perform, etc.

They've done a few fundraisers earlier this month and in November ....
