hi everyone!

I am taking care of my mom all week the other caregiver went to texas to be with her daughter she just had a baby boy! My mom and I are having a great time so far! She is doing alot better now that she is off another one of her meds she had been taking anti-depressants since my dad died 7 years ago. she can get up and walk on her own most of the time now but we have to watch her its hard to believe it was causing her all these problems and the doctors were telling us it was the progression of the frontal lobe dementia! I dont care what anybody says I think lot of those meds do more damage than good!!!ok I will stop jabbering ttyl!

Thanks LittleKrissy for the prayers. Yes I talked to my church and they are helping a lot with prayers. He goes in on Friday for the biopsy so we are hoping they get rid of it all then.

I am sorry that your mom has been ill and upset since your dad passed away. He is in a much better place which really don't help the ones left behind. I believe you are right about meds sometimes do more bad than good. I always argue with the drs about my mom and her depression/seizure disorder. We have to keep up at the drs. We know our loved ones more than they do so it is up to us to keep them safe.
I am glad your mom is doing much better now and you get to spend some time with her.
Take care! I have you and your mom in my prayers!

Hi Crystal, i'm still so sorry to hear this about your dad. I'm keeping him in my prayers every night. I don't know if this will help or not, but my ex mother in law had lung cancer. They treated it with radiation and it worked. They told her that if she went 5 years without it returning, then she had probally beaten it. She lived 6 more years without it but a major stroke is what took her, not the cancer. She had smoked all her life practically and kept smoking til the day she died and thats probally contributed to the stroke. I guess what i'm trying to say is if she beat it, then maybe your dad will too. Hang in there.

Thanks everyone for your prayers, it must of worked because my dad had his biopsy and the dr.s believed they got all the cancer but he will have to come back for check ups every 2 months. The bad news is during the surgery he died but was brought back due to his heart having problems so the cardiologist said no more surgeries until his heart is in proper shape again. Maybe he should go to Cleveland for his heart, I guess we will wait to see what the drs suggest.

Wow, that's great news Crystal!! Hopefully his future tests are all negative (weird word to use here, since it's a positive thing). And it's a good thing he doesn't need chemo.

Thanks Linda, yes it great it doesn't need chemo plus he said that would have to be his last resort to use chemo. Now to get working on his heart.

Awesome stuff, Crystal.

Hey, this is completely unrelated, but does anyone have a home remedy for plugged ears? I'm afraid my cold is going to turn into an ear infection pretty quickly... and at the moment I'd even consider an exorcism if it'd help. (BEY-GONE, EEE-VILLE EAR KREP!)

A collegue of mine keeps advising people who have something going on with their ears to use union. Cut it in tiny pieces, put it in some thin cloth cloth and put it on your ear, and/or cut an union in 2 and put it next to your bed when you go to sleep. I tried it once and not sure if it worked or not. I've always laughed about it, but she keeps saying that it really works :S.
