RWF on hiatus again

Postby RWLinda on Mon May 05, 2008 10:38 pm

Hi skan, thanks! I really appreciate it!

Ok, this is not really another break, but I'll be off to San Francisco for the next couple of weeks (starting May 10th), so it may take a bit longer to reply to emails. I'll also have limited resources and time for research during those weeks. As mentioned earlier, registration to the forum will be closed for a few days starting May 9th.

Thanks Scott. Yes, I'll try not to forget about that. Been there so many times that it gets easy to forget about it. I have quite some exciting stuff coming up, so I'll be sure to capture that somehow. :)

Hey everyone,

I'll be off for the next couple of days.

Just like last year I'll be going to the French Alps to cycle the Alpe d'huez. Can't wait to go as I did a lot of training to make sure I reach the top faster than I did last year. I have a faster, lighter bike now too!
We'll be there with a group of 40 people and we're gonna do this like a time trial. There'll be 30 seconds between each rider at the start.
Anyway, I'm quite excited about this, the only downside is, it looks like there's no internet where I'll be staying.

Wish me luck and see you all again on Sunday night / Monday!

Ps. Last year it took me 1h24m36s and this year I wanna reach the top within 1h15m, ouch.

KO, I'll once again be off for about a week, starting today (till election day actually).
I'll still answer all emails hopefully within the 48 hour time frame, but I don't expect to find any time to update the site.

Laterz!!

Back again and gone again, haha ^^ Your life sounds really busy but fun.
This is kinda off-topic, but... Why am I always blocked from the "Various Films" section of the website. It says I don't have the required permissions. Is that thread mod and admin-only?

Hmm, as far as I know you're not blocked from anything on this site...I'll check.

ok, check it and turns out I didn't know I had set reset the permission when moving topics around. Only admins were able to visit those topics. I'm currently restoring the permissions andeveryone should be able to have access to all topics again.
Thanks for letting me know.

No prob. I'm the one thanking.
For several weeks I've been thinking why I've been blocked from that particular area. I even thought that somebody stole my ID and spam'd this site. +_+

Wow. Don´t worry. It was my mistake. I didn´t know I had to reset the permission once I moved a topic.

Even though the forum looks very different, the major upgrade contained mainly security fixes. Since the upgrade there´s been not a single spam account, while before the upgrade there used to be up to 50 spam account newly created every day.

No, we're not on hiatus again. There simply isn't much going on right now, which is definitely a good thing to happen every once in a while. Time to focus more on other stuff that'll always be existent (work, studies, etc). Anyway, I'll try to post stuff whenever it's interesting enough to share and in case there hasn't been any updates for a while, keep in mind that it's RW taking a break :)

After the Weapons DVD release, the first thing coming up, as far as I know of course, would be Happy Feet 2 in November 2011

Wish we didn't have to wait so long before seeing a movie.
