RW and video games

RW and video games

Postby scott on Sun Nov 30, 2008 7:07 am

Seeing how exhilarated I'm today b/c of some visits to websites that talk about how involved RW is with video games, I decided to make this thread.

Some facts:
RW's nick on Battlefield 2 is neoflee. A Sniper. The latter info is confirmed by RW himself. neoflee's stats page shows the main weapon as the sniper, so it kinda makes sense that it's his profile :D . Besides, people keep saying how they hear RW's voice whenever neoflee talks to them, lol. Everybody here should agree that his voice is a distinctive one, and it's easy to tell whether it's RW.
Stats are over here : http://www.bf2stats.nl/player/10259030/
Note how he got killed much more than he killed (3240/5273). He got kicked out from server 58 times.

All this started from my reading of a boy collapsing after playing WoW for 24 hours straight. The Internet is quite amazing
I'm still looking for info regarding his WoW nickname. If I find anything I'm willing to sign up for WoW and spend the whole summer looking for him in WoW world. :) I just don't have the ability to meet him in the outside world so this kinda does it for me.

Me neither.
Wish I had time to play video games though, but I wouldn't play these war games...I prefer friendlier stuff :) There's so much violence in the world already.

LoL. Wut? You guys don't know anything at all about video games? RW is an avid gamer himself.
He helped in a presentation of Spore, a really friendly (take that Linda  ) creature-creating game. It's very popular now.

Video games are soooo vital to my life. They totally pwn'd the crappy English teachers I had in school. Seriously, one hour of playing RPGs in English beat 5 hours of listening to excessively repetitive grammar lessons. Meh, I even corrected the teachers' mistakes.

Yes, I know about the Spore thing and the creature he created (which wasn't able to walk because of the huge nose, lol. That was funny though. But still, where do I find the time to do any of those complex games?! Gaming for an hour/week just isn't worth it...even though RW is an avid gamer. I prefer maintaining this website and doing well at school ;). I know that once I start gaming it'll have an addictive effect on me and I don't want to know what that may cause...
Ow well...
Have you played Spore yet, scott??

Heheh. No, not Spore. Not yet, partly b/c I'd have to shed money out to buy it. I feel guilty pirating a game that RW buys and enjoys, haha.
Besides, I'm busy experimenting with Linux and some other open-source stuff. I'm playing Doom right now.
Games are not that addictive when it comes to non-teenagers. I don't think I've ever been addicted to them. I get bored and cheat all the time

OK. Got rid of Doom. It's just so violent and scary.
I think I'll go back to the beautiful & romantic world of Final Fantasy series. :D

I might try out Legend of Zelda sometimes, b/c RW's son is named Zelda

lololol, that was so messed up. Sorry RW!

I bought a PS3 several months ago. It's great. For any of you who intend to watch RW movies on Blu-ray, the PS3 is the best deal you can find.

PS3 bites....XBOX rules ha ha ha ha ha well except for the ring of death of course but it still rules gaming wise. PS3 doesn't have that much to offer the avid gamer....one of which i am....oh i know the deal...women aren't meant to play games and if they do they play the lovey dovey ones like pony club or bingo but me....well i'm a hardcore gamer and the best game series in the whole world goes to Resident Evil and if Robin hasn't played it...well he hasn't lived....it's survival horror at it's best. Aside from that i can be found often in the HALO universe, Star Wars universe and any FPS game depending on it's creator and how the game runs graphically and playability wise....oh and i love a bit of Hitman too...now that is hardcore ha ha ha ha ha. I'm a sniper queen...reckon i could give Robin a run for his money in the virtual world.....i am well and truly an ace shot...not that i'm blowing my trumpet but i do hold a record for Unreal Tournament...most frags woo hoo.

I used to review games for an online magazine back in the '90s and early 2000s... it's burned me out on video games for a while. (It's fine when you get to review games you like, but when you have to play through a turd--well, not so jolly.) Hubby is in thrall to Lord of the Rings Online, as are most of my friends; I think I'm now the sole holdout, though I've been known to pick up his headset and make snarky comments to members of his fellowship. They keep trying to draw me in--"come on, Sooz, you know you wanna"--and I keep insisting, "Hey, somebody's gotta be the heretic!"

Yay for reviving this thread. Video games rock.

When I was little, I tried playing Resident Evil 3 but it freaked me out. Blood is a major turn off for me.

Ah man Resident Evil 3 Nemesis....what fond memories i have of being up till past midnight with the lights off and being scared half to death by his 'STARS' and then chasing me round the RPD....you should try playing Silent Hill......scary, scary, scary so much so it can give ya nightmares....and if ya don't like the blood ya can turn it green in the off set menu....Silent Hill....again another game Robin hasn't lived till he's played.

All we need to find out now is what kind of games he has played...we know a few and his love of FPS but FPS is too broad...we need specifics...it's what gamers crave....these are my specifics....

Resident Evil 0, 1, 2, 3, Veronica, Outbreak 1/2, 4 and 5....especially 5 (drools at Chris Redfield)

Halo 1, 2 and 3

WoW

Grand Theft Auto

Battlefield 1 and 2

Call Of Duty (CoD) 1, 2, 3, 4,WaW

Operation Flashpoint

Hitman 1, 2, 3, 4

Silent Hill 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5

Mainly though i am in Resident Evil 5 for the fact that it is an amazing game and i am addicted and slightly obsessed with it......very obsessed with it ha ha ha ha.
