Biography by Dave Itzkoff Update

November 7, 2015

A little over a year ago Henry Holt acquired the rights to publish a biography of Robin to be written by Dave Itzkoff. Today we've been in touch with Dave and he was happy to give us a little update:

Over the past year, I have been talking widely to friends, colleagues, classmates and loved ones from throughout Robin's life, going all the way back to grade school; from the various colleges he attended and the San Francisco and Los Angeles comedy scenes; and spanning his extraordinary career, including projects like "Mork & Mindy," "Good Morning Vietnam," "Dead Poets Society," "The Fisher King," "Aladdin," "Mrs. Doubtfire" and "Good Will Hunting."

Last month, I spent several days reviewing an archive of Robin's personal papers (including his annotated scripts for most of the film and TV projects I mention above). And I have more reporting to do this fall and winter that I think will be instrumental to telling his story.

The book does not yet have a title or on-sale date, but it will be published by Henry Holt & Co.
