Whether he's pitching himself, or his high-priced luxury cars at Turgeon Auto Sales, Joey O'Brien never lets a day go by without "doing" someone good. But Joey's schmoozed through life on cruise control for way too long... and now he's riding on the hot seat! An impatient Mafioso wants his hide. He's rendezvousing with an obnoxious married woman. His space cadet girlfriend needs more money. His ex-wife wants her alimony and his delinquent daughter is nowhere to be found! To top it all off, Turgeon Auto is relocating and inventory is priced to go--and unfortunately, so is Joey unless his sales pick up. He has just one last big day to do or die... and just when he thought it could get no worse, it does! With the showroom abuzz on D-Day, in walks Larry, a lunkhead terminator with an inferiority complex and an axe to grind. Larry's not exactly looking for a new set of whitewalls. He's loaded down with explosives and looking for the man who's been "doing" his wife! Now in a life-or-death situation, Joey O'Brien is forced to do what he does best... lie!
Stay back! Tell them to stay back or I'll blow this place and half the fuckin' block to hell.
He says stay back or he's gonna blow this place and half the block to hell.
Yeah? With what?
The stuff on my bike there. It's very explosive stuff.
He's got stuff strapped to his bike!
So what? So's my little kid. Look, we wanna know what it is.
M2 plastic.
Plastic?
M2 plastic.
Plastique? Oh, shit.
Yeah.
M2 plastique!
M2 plastique? You tell him we don't believe him. Where the hell did he get that?
Jersey.
Jersey!
OK! OK! What does he want?
A high pressure sales pitch.
A high pressure love life.
For Joey O'Brien, life is no bed of Rollses.
A comedy about the near death of a salesman.
If you can't trust a car salesman... who can you trust?
Legend.
Lover.
Salesman.
A way with words.
A way with women.
And way over his head.
